This Adjustable Desk Lamp fits perfectly at the desk in our kitchen and matches the stainless steel applicances we have. The light is perfect for computer work, paying bills, etc. Really good value as the lamp looks more expensive than it really is!

Superb, Espescially for the Money!Oct 31, 2001
Excellent, Excellent Quality. With the quality of so many lamps below substandard, this is truly a pleasant surprise. Very high quality, this lamp will last for years.It is weighted very well, has thumbscrews on the positioning arms and stays where you put it. From now on, when I am looking for a light of any type, I will start with American Lighting.

Truely an Outstanding Bargin!Aug 23, 2001
I ordered this lamp as an accessory to my hobby "Model Building". After many attempts at purchasing a fully functional lamp for this purpose. I "Finally & Gratefully" applaud this lamp from American Lighting. The base alone weighs, at least 6 pounds making for a "Sturdy" and dependable support for the lamp. The lamp alone is a brushed Steel finish trimmed in "Mahogany wood trim". It will accept a 60 Watt Incandescent bulb. The adjustments for height, posistion, and extension are firmly held by wing nuts. "Not weak springs;" That pop off with continued use. The Dollar value of this lamp is too "Good to be true" The appearance of the lamp is not only fashionable, as well as attractive to the eye. It will fit well in "any" decor. I will; In the future look forward to making "American Lighting" Products my "Standard" in future lighting purchases.

Best looking thing in my officeJul 12, 2001
The description of this lamp that the manufacturer provides is lame. I bought this lamp because it was inexpensive, and from the photos I thought it looked pretty cool. I expected cheap plasticky stuff. What it is, though, is brushed stainless steel with real(?) mahogany arms and a heavy base--no clamps here. The lamp won't tip over, even if you extend it out away from the base. It's not designed to move up and down and back and forth all the time; the stout locking knobs are more geared for set-it-and-forget-it positioning, so forget those spring-loaded clamp-on lamps that won't stay put. This is a beautiful, functional lamp.
