mediocreApr 22, 2008 Pros:
the goosenecks are well built
the steel base is adequate for holding it up and it's padded so as not to scratch
the light housings are attractive, solid steel
extremely low power consumption: 4 watts total, as I recall
Cons:
it's pretty small. The arms are 17" & 20" when they're extended vertically; as pictured, they stand about 12 & 14" high.
the LED light is very focused, like a spot beam. Each head will light up about a 5" circle on a desk
the plastic guards that hold the LED array in the metal lamp head fall out frequently. One had fallen out before I got it out of the box.
those same *clear* guards protrude from the lamp shade and reflect the lamp's light into your eyes unless you face the shades directly away from you.
Overall, it's poorly designed from a functional view. For about the same price, you can get a full-spectrum verilux clamp-on that's much larger and just about perfect.

Bad selectionMar 15, 2008 This item was greatly overpriced, smaller than it appeared, and it did not light up the area on my desk that I thought it would. I had to return it.

worst lamp ever.Feb 27, 2008 L.E.D. lights are only acceptable on old workout equipment. Poor lighting. Looks and feels cheap. Not worth even $10.00.
